Wayne Bell, Jr.

Business Development

Wayne C. Bell, Jr. received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Virginia State University and continued coursework in a Masters of Public Administration program from Old Dominion University. 

 

Wayne began his career working as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia but realized that he would be more effective reaching youth prior to them becoming juvenile delinquents so with the help of members from the Rock Solid Foundation he started his own mental health counseling company, Therapeutic Interventions, Inc. in 2008 which was one of the fastest growing companies in Virginia as recognized by Inc. 500. 

 

He was the driving force behind daily operations of Therapeutic Interventions, Inc. A strategic thinker, he played an active role in the design of the company programs and initiatives. He also served as the Director of Operations and managed the Human Resources of the agency, where recruitment, retention and high-quality performance were key factors in the strategic plan for the company’s success. 

 

Due to his leadership and ability to problem solve, he was asked to serve as CEO of a early education and childcare facility, Children’s Harbor. 

 

Wayne contributes to the community, serving on numerous boards to include but not limited to, Chairperson of the United Way, Cape Charles Rotary Club (past president), Eastern Shore Community College Foundation, Northampton County Education Foundation and a host of others. He’s a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

 

Wayne is very active in his church, serving as a Trustee and he is the head coach for varsity boys’ basketball at Northampton High School where he’s been named “Coach of the Year” for multiple seasons. Wayne has two sons and two grandsons.
